The Journey to Bethlehem
No Room at the Inn
Luke 2:1-7about 2 minutes to read aloud

In those days, Caesar Augustus made a law. Everyone in the empire had to register in the town of his family.
Joseph went up from Nazareth in Galilee to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem. He was of the house and line of David. He took Mary with him. She was carrying the Baby inside her.
The road was long. The hills were steep. The days grew cold. Mary rode, and Joseph walked beside.
At last, they came to Bethlehem. The little town was crowded. Every inn was full. Door after door closed against them.
In the end, a place was found — a shelter for animals. Warm, dim, sweet with straw. That was where Mary lay down.
There, in the night, she gave birth to her firstborn Son. She wrapped Him in strips of cloth. She laid Him in a manger, a feeding trough for the animals. The King of all the earth had come, and God kept His promise.
