Privacy Policy

BibleBuddy Kids ("the app", "we", "us") is a Bible reading app for children ages 6 to 8. A parent sets the app up. This policy explains what the app collects, why, who helps us run it, and how to have your data deleted.

What we collect

Information a parent enters during setup

  • Parent email address. Used to send the optional weekly progress email about your child's reading, and to contact you about your account. Every email has a link to stop it.
  • Child's first name or nickname, and age. Used inside the app to personalize stories and messages. We never ask a child for this information; the setup screens sit behind a parents-only check.

These are stored on the device. If you sign in, they are also saved to your account so they survive a new phone, and so the weekly email can be sent.

Sign in with Apple (optional)

If you choose to sign in, Apple gives us an account identifier and, if you allow it, an email address (which may be a private relay address). We use it only to save and restore your child's progress across devices. You can use the app without signing in.

Reading progress

Stories completed, quiz scores, daily goal and streak. Kept on the device, and saved to your account if you are signed in.

Notifications (optional)

If you allow reminders, we store your device's push notification token to send daily reading reminders. You can turn reminders off in the app or in iOS Settings.

App usage analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to see how the app is used, for example which screens are opened and whether lessons are finished, so we can fix problems and improve it. Advertising features are turned off: no advertising identifier is collected, nothing is used for ads, and nothing is shared for tracking across other apps or websites.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details; Apple tells the app only whether a subscription is active.

What we do not do

  • No ads, and no advertising tracking.
  • We do not sell or rent personal information.
  • No chat, social features or public profiles. Children cannot contact anyone through the app.

Who helps us run the app

We share data only with the services that operate the app for us, and only for that purpose:

  • Supabase stores accounts and saved progress.
  • Cloudflare runs our server, story content delivery and reminder scheduling.
  • Google Firebase provides the usage analytics described above.
  • Brevo delivers the weekly parent email.
  • Apple provides Sign in with Apple, purchases and push notifications.

Children's privacy

The app is made for children, and is designed so that a parent provides and controls any personal information. Purchases, settings, outside links and account features are behind a parents-only check. If you believe your child gave us information without your consent, email us and we will delete it.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep account data while your account is in use. To delete your account and everything saved with it, open the app, tap Parents, and choose Delete Account (or Delete All Data if you never signed in). The account and its data are removed from our servers right away, and the app erases what it stored on the device. Deleting does not cancel a subscription; manage that in your Apple Account settings.

You can also email isotropicstudios@gmail.com from the parent email address, or with your Apple sign-in email, to ask what we hold or to have it deleted. We answer within 30 days.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, and access to saved accounts is restricted to each signed-in account.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
