Jesus Walks on Water
Faith Over Fear
Matthew 14:22-33about 2 minutes to read aloud

After Jesus had fed a great crowd, He sent the disciples across the lake in a boat while He went up the mountain alone to pray. Evening came, and the night.
Out on the sea, the wind rose against them. The waves grew heavy. The disciples pulled at the oars hour after hour, far from land.
In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them walking on the sea. They saw Him and cried out in fear. "It is a ghost." But Jesus said at once, "Take courage. It is I. Do not be afraid."
Peter called back, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water." Jesus said, "Come." Peter stepped over the side of the boat. He walked on the water toward Jesus.
But the wind was strong. Peter looked at the waves. He began to sink. "Lord, save me." Jesus reached out His hand and caught him. "You of little faith. Why did you doubt?"
They climbed into the boat together, and the wind stopped. The disciples bowed down before Him. "Truly you are the Son of God."
