The Story of Creation
Long ago, before there were stars, oceans, or trees, there was only God. God had a wonderful plan to make a beautiful world. On the first day, God said, “Let there be light,” and light appeared. He separated the light from the darkness, calling them Day and Night.
Over the next few days, God continued His work. He made the sky and separated the waters so that dry land appeared. God caused grass, flowers, and trees to grow across the earth. He then created the sun, moon, and stars to give light to the world and to mark days and seasons.
God was not finished yet. He filled the oceans with fish and the sky with birds. Then He created animals of every kind, from small creatures to large ones. Finally, on the sixth day, God made His most special creation: people. He created Adam and Eve to care for the world He had made. When God finished His work, He saw that everything was very good, and on the seventh day, He rested.
